steady offline page

Dear People,
According to the result of my last treat (viewtopic.php?f=709&t=957138) , I changed my Server to a way more expensive one (A2 hosting). There, I came across a weirld and new problem:
Since I hosted my site on the new provider, I'm not able anymore to get rid of the offline page! Even I used the correct login credentials, the offline page remains steady. By setting the site back to online, it still wan't help; because the site remains offline! First I thoguht about browser caches, but even I accessed the site from another computer; The issue still remains ! But thanx to the lord, I still have full access to the admin area. Next, what I did, was asking for my new host provider. They responded me:

Ok, so I went to the page and its throwing me that warnings:

Hu??? If I get rid of these question marks, does that not destroy the site? How some weirld clyphs can even be created? Does that Issue has somethings to do with the problems I ran in? For some of you, who wants to take a look, the follow credentials is assigned as a Guest entry with only guest permission.

Obviously that offline page is not Joomla's default offline page. This is either a plugin, or an option in your template. Suggest you check both plugins manager

The login details don't work (and I don't think would help solve the issue). The offline login is for Admins (or Super User) only, not general visitors, otherwise normal users could login and defeat the purpose of the offline page, i.e. to keep normal visitors out, while the site is under development or maintenance.

Please post the FPA report as requested by @webdongle.

From what I can work out you use "Flex" template - https://themeforest.net/item/flex-multi ... e/14881156 .

That has a built-in Offline page and countdown like your link shows. Try turning off the countdown in the Template's options. If this is an issue with the template I would seek assistance from the template's developer, especially given your payment for it entitles you to support.

To prove the point, try switching the template to Protostar (temporarily). Do you still get any sort of offline page. (check the Global config to ensure the Joomla default offline is not set to On.)

Maybe that info can help too, in order to narrow the cause: another site, also migrated into my new host space, today I was trying to update akeeba. It failed in several way; When I tried to upload the package, or even when I choose the option "install from web", I'm always receiving this error message, saying:

One suggestion - can you install another copy of joomla - clean 3.8.2 copy with separate database, then apply the "Flex" template, and see if you have trouble putting it on and offline. Just to see if it's a fluke (just your site) or if it is indeed the template causing the problems and if you can replicate the problem on a plain vanilla site, I would go back to the template's author seeking assistance.

I also just noticed Blue-stork in your installation (FPA report). Blue-stork is the Admin template from Joomla 2.5.x so if this is 3.8.2 you're running I don't know why you have a mix of what is apparently Joomla 2.5 as your installation.

In the actual site's database you should be able to find the value "1" or "0" that turns on and off the offline mode. Change it to "0" (zero) and save, then refresh the site and see if that shows the site again.

You said the offline page is still "on" despite changing to protostar, even though Protostar itself has no such option for a an offline page in itself. Is the offline option for Joomla (global configuration) set to "off"?

Also it looks like you have a lot of out of date extensions (and still that question why Blue-stork is there even though it's from 2.5 days).

There could be some work involved in cleaning up or updating some of those extensions. SP Page Builder for example - the FPA shows it as 2.5.x and yet v3.02 came out last week.

How did you move your site between hosts - backed up with Akeeba Backup, then restored to the new host with Akeeba Kickstart?

And other example is OSE_ANTIHACKER (v 5.3.4 according to the FPA report) - the JED says the latest release is 7.0.4 (November 2017).

Not saying these out of date extensions are contributing to the problem but it's wise to check and update them all the same.

Hi AMurray, thanl you very much for digging more into it! Hey, I have no idea, where that's coming from, because OSE hacker is an extension, that has being uninstalled a while ago. Since I built this Site with joomla! 3.7 from scratch, I wonder where all that old data came from. What I did now, is I just chenged the dns for this site back to my old host provider. Because I never had such issues before when the site was hosted with them! As soon as it propagated, I will update you! But it might take approx. 24hrs, they said. Hey, thank you bro!
