How did ProFiles get installed on my site

I just noticed in my site admin that ProFiles https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/profiles/
is showing under my Components menu suddenly. I'd like to know how this got in and if it was from another extension and if anyone else has seen this suddenly show up in their website?

I know for a fact I did not add that.

UPDATE: I went to install several older backups (back into November) of my site locally and discovered this extension is showing up. So somehow this was missed by me everytime I logged in and only just now noticed it. Still do not know how this got installed because ProFiles is not a type of extension I would personally use for my site. So the mystery of how this got in from long ago has my attention.

you cant try search for word "Mad4Media" and ''Kutyol" - author of extension in your site files (via total commander, for example).
maybe it was part of pack of extension you installed earlier, so you can find another extensions from same author.

Do you know of a way to find the install date of an extension?

if you do not restore backup of site you can try sort files of extension by date to figure out which is older.
or check filesr of this component in older backup you have in same way.
