reCAPTCHA language auto detection
Using the following instructions I have enabled reCAPTCHA v.2 plugin on a Joomla 3.7.3 contact form, but the reCAPTCHA theme is shown only in English on various browsers, while it should auto detect the browser language.
Any idea why the browser language auto detection isn’t working ?

Re: reCAPTCHA language auto detection
Mandville is right. All versions below Joomla 3.8.3 are vulnerable. Always keep Joomla and extensions up-to-date. Once you have properly updated your site (always back-up before updating) try again. After that we can help you. We cannot advise on an outdated and highly risky version

Re: reCAPTCHA language auto detection
Hello Mandville and Leo,
I usually update Joomla only when I receive notification via rss feeds of a serious security problem: in Joomla versions released after 3.7.3, there are security problems that affect modules that I have not installed (Ldap, 2-factor-auth for example) or classified as low risk.

Re: reCAPTCHA language auto detection
Maybe I misunderstand you but where do you get the wisdom from the we have in Joomla 3.8.3 security risks? Please don't be a fool! Mandville is part of the VEL-team and a security coordinator and I am a Member of the Joomla CMS Release Team. We do know where we talk about and you not seemingly (no offense since simple fact otherwise you would not make that statementgljoo wrote: in Joomla versions released after 3.7.3, there are security problems that affect modules that I have not installed (Ldap, 2-factor-auth for example) or classified as low risk.
On 26-July 2017 Joomla 3.7.4 was released which addressed High Risk security vulnerabilities in your version viewtopic.php?f=8&t=953160 Also look at the other releases viewforum.php?f=8
Once again all versions below Joomla 3.8.3 are vulnerable and we will release next week Joomla 3.8.4 so just be good for your site, your visitors and for yourself since you will at one moment (when you are whacked) regret this very, very much and you will loose all trust by your users
Again Rule #1: Always keep Joomla and extension up-to-date-->ALWAYS!

Re: reCAPTCHA language auto detection
Usually I take the security aspect very seriously and read the details of each fix.
In the previous post I'm not saying that the versions released after Joomla 3.7.3 have security issues, but I'm saying that the released fixes affect components like Ldap, 2-factor-auth or the installer that I have not enabled and that therefore I'm not exposed to that kind of threat.
The other safety issues do not seem to be exploitable in my Joomla version.

Re: reCAPTCHA language auto detection
I have updated Joomla to version 3.8.4 but the problem described in the first post is the same.
I did several tests by installing French, Italian and Spanish in Google Chrome and setting them as default language at the top of the preference list without obtaining results.
I think that in the reCAPTCHA version integrated in Joomla, the English language is forced somewhere.
