How change article date format

My site is using Gantry - Helium template (http://gantry.org/downloads) on my site

I want to change how article dates are shown.

Right now its
Published: 04 February 2018
i want it to be
Published: February 04, 2018
I do not know if i need to edit the template files or the joomla file.
Nor do i know where i do go about finding the page to make the edit.

Does your site use the en-us language and not en-gb?

No idea but i think its en-us because i did not change the default language of joomla when i installed it

The default in Joomla is en-gb.

You have to install a language pack.
