Removing banner at bottom of page

Post by seventhstar » Tue Mar 06, 2018 11:04 pm

For some reason my site has "Administrator" on each and every page at the bottom. I've searched all over the back-end on how to remove/disable it but can't seem to find it - article options, category options... It doesn't show up in Virtuemart or other extensions that have been installed on the site like ChronoForms or Acymailing but it does appear on articles.

I'm running Joomla 3.8.5

Here's a screenshot.

If you think I’m wrong then say “I think you're wrong.” If you say “You’re wrong!”, how do you know?

looking at the source code- usually a good start - shows

Code: Select all

</div></div><div class="vp-wrapper vp-article-author below" itemprop="author" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Person">
		<div class="vp-author-info">
					<h3 class="vp-author-name"><span itemprop="name">Administrator</span></h3>
							</div>
</div></div></article></div>
which leads me to believe you are showing the author on articles. hide that and see what happens. not sure how you do it in vp advanced user

Thanks. Checking the User settings fixed it for me. There was a Show Author Details section that was set to "Show".
