Blank Page RSS Feed

Post by pim123 » Mon Jul 16, 2018 10:52 am

Hello,

We have updated Joomla to 3.8.8 version. In our web page we have several RSS feeds and some work but other don't work into the same category. When you click in the RSS link, it takes a long time and some are loaded but other don't load and you have a blank page after a long time. I don't know where the problem is. Any idea to debugg the problem?

Thanks in advance.

There have been changes made to Joomla's RSS feature in J! 3.8.10. See viewtopic.php?f=706&t=960129 for some background discussion.

Updating to J! 3.8.10 may help.

Hello,

alirezasat, it is an Intranet so it is not possible to access it from Internet (sorry). sozzled, I have changed the four files following https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/pull/20717 which are here https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/pu ... 5522c88df2 and tested but it didn't work. The problem is that I don't see any log to have a clue what is happening. When you click one it loads well but with another it loads a blank page without anything. RSS were created with Joomla 1.5.10 but in this version all work. Any clue to debug the problem?

Thanks in advance.

J! 3.8.8 is now four versions outdated; updating to J! 3.8.12 may help.

Hi Sozzled,

Thanks for your answer.
I have updated Joomla from 3.8.8 to 3.8.13 and when I click the link Components->Newsfeeds in the website panel control it works now but I have the same problem with rss feeds, I mean, some of them work but other don't work into the same category (all take a long time to be loaded). In other words, when you click in the RSS link, it takes a long time and some are loaded but other don't load and you have a blank page after a long time. Any clue to debug the problem?
I don't know what I can do. Please help.

Best Regards in advance.

"Any clue to debug the problem?" Try using the Forum Post Assistant and post the report as a reply in this topic. That's what other people would normally do when they've hit the wall; that's what I did when I hit the wall earlier this year in relation to broken RSS feeds. ;)
