Sorting Articles in Latest Article Menu... Topic is solved

I would like to order all my articles in the latest article menu by date (They are photo galleries with photos in them).

This is what I would like to do..for example, I have an article titled Photos from May 12th 2018 and one titled Photos from June 23rd 2018...I would like to make them appear in ascending order from top to bottom, instead of the default bottom to top.

Which option do I select in the latest article menu option to accomplish this? Is there an extension to sort articles in a given order?

My first response is - why don't you use a Gallery Component?

There is no "latest article" menu item type either. There is Category Blog and Category List Layouts. In both you can set the sort order to created date, edited date or published up date by ascending or descending order.

Sorry for not being specific...but it is the latest article module.

Also, I have a gallery component uploaded, but I need to put all my galleries in an article so they willl show up.

Unless you meant a gallery component for my front page

Phoca Gallery have a Content Plugin to show the gallery inside an article.

The latest article module does not have an ascending/descending sort option. As the name implies, the latest article will be on the top.

Check with the gallery developer if any modules and plugins are available.
I have only used Phoca Gallery, which have several plugins, modules available.

Just as an FYI, I managed to resolve this problem by posting articles in reverse order.

That made it go in chronological order in the latest article module

Or you could just use Articles - Category module.
