introductory text of an article formatted

Is it possible to have the introductory text of an article formatted as within the content?

if so how?

Do you mean that you want the introductory text of an article formatted differently to the rest of the article?

well, I actually mean that I formatted some words of the article to have a background color, say, but when I see such words in the introductory text they are not formatted ...

How did you reformat "some words of the article to have a background colour"? Please explain.

within the article, I select the text and click on the TinyMCE editor background color and chose a green color.
Now the color in the item has a green background, but in the first page where photo and introductory text of the various article are shown the same text is visualized withoiut background color. I attach the screenshot of a portion of the entire article, and of the introductory text.
