HTTPS localhost issues

Post by tabbu » Thu Jul 22, 2021 4:04 pm

Hello,

I'm currently in the process of testing a live site locally with mamp, which has an ssl, and regular labs cdn.
Made a backup with Akeeba and went through the restore process without issue, only to encounter the following error: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG.

I've done numerous searches online none of which have come up with a solution, as I do not have a support account with Akeeba I have posted on here to see if there's a fix to this issue.

Things I've attempted are deleting the config, setting the forced ssl to 0, checking and changing the httaccess extension, deleting the regular labs cdn plugin. All of which have not worked.

Any ideas welcome.
I'm on the latest installation 3.9.28
Thanks

Thanks but there doesn't appear to be any option for this in mamp or config file.
Where would this be?

The only place this is active is in the cdn, would this be the cause of the issue?

Assume I'll have to create a back up with the cdn disabled, which will disrupt the live site?
Is there no other way around it, as I deleted the cdn plugin but still the issue persists.

I've taken back ups and restored locally on many occasions never having come across this issue, the only difference being presence of the cdn.

Have tried again with a new back up and cdn switched off in plugins.
I'm still receiving the same error.

Found the solution by creating my own ssl certificate. Works nicely through mamp free.
