Joomla Site migration: An error has occurred. 500 JHtml actionsdropdown not found

Postby tokunbo » Mon Nov 28, 2016 3:01 pm

Dear sirs

Kindly, help out.

I just moved a Joomla site from server A to B. Site is not accessible on server-A, else I could have used Akeeba to get things done.

Site successfully moved now, backend is accessible, however some admin menu items give me this error message:
" An error has occurred. 500 JHtml actionsdropdown not found."

they are:
- content >> articles
- extensions >> modules

please point me in the right direction on what to do to resolve the issue

system information:
php version = 5.4.45
Joomla! Version Joomla! 3.4.4 Stable [ Ember ] 8-September-2015 21:30 GMT
Joomla! Platform Version Joomla Platform 13.1.0 Stable [ Curiosity ] 24-Apr-2013 00:00 GMT

regards,
tokunbo

It is available in libraries/cms/html/actionsdropdown.php. Do you have that file?
Do you understand that cache needs to be invalidated?
Issue with migrating? Include logs/joomla_update.php in your report!
Blank screen? Verify pagesource for HTML code (javascript error)
Installation failing on populating database? Install with set_time_limit(0)
Document your customizations!

Perhaps the best course of action is to overwrite the Joomla core files with those from the J3.4.4 full package ... then update your Joomla .

Suspected that upgrading to J3.6.4 is the purpose of the move.

Be aware of the issue in Joomla! Update. It doesn't recognize the patch in the designated temp folder and on Windows platform fails to update due to bad filename of the update. See my posts mentioning preg_replace for instructions.

@all,

thanks guys, issue is now resolved

@sovainfo
libraries/cms/html/actionsdropdown.php wasnt available,

so I just followed @webdongle's advice, I overwrote the Joomla core files with those from the J3.4.4 full package

site came online and all the normal functionalities returned.

thanks, once again

regards

I suggest that the issue is not resolved ... the affects of the issue have been resolved but not the issue itself.

Please run the fpa http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=621&t=582860 and post the results here.
