Move joomla installation

Hello

I have installed my joomla in a subfolder. Something like this: http://mysite.com/folder

Wich is the correct way for moving the installatin to the root folder in order to have it in http://mysite.com???

simplest method is to install akeeba ,create the backup and reinstall the backup in the required folder.
