Directory permissions unwritable after site copied

I have the problem too. I made all instructions from here docs. Ok, front page working now. But when click link ref's, I have 404 Page not found. System > System Information > Directory Permissions all directories are unwritable. All dirs in project have permissions 755.

Check the owner of files/folders. You obviously didn't upload the files with the same user-name as the web server is running with.

Thanks for your reply. It's doesn't matter. On server I have one login, on local machine - another. When I download files on local machine it creates as new files with new permissions and new owner (not copies old permissions and old owner). With server side the same history. Sources and db has not contain old login from server side too.

Check also the .htaccess files and the Use URL Rewriting option in Gonfig.
