3.10 Alpha Update Checker Topic is solved

Apologies if this has been covered before, I did search and couldn't find anything.

I'm trying to do a trial update (not production site) to Joomla 4 beta. I've done the 3.10 Alpha 5 upgrade but I can't find how or where to run the Pre Update Checker before trying to install Joomla 4.

It's part of the Joomla update component. I got this working by adjusting the update channel settings as follows: (Click Options button in the JOomla Update screen to access the update channel settings).

Update Channel : Custom URL

Minimum Stability: Beta

Custom URL: https://update.joomla.org/core/nightlie ... r_list.xml

(this custom URL is the nightly build for Joomla 4 Beta as found https://developer.joomla.org/nightly-builds.html)

I would also expect that if you did the "Upload and Update" method, by uploading the update package, the pre-checker would launch first to check the update capability of your site.
