Let's Encrypt: domain challenge have failed

Post by cadko » Wed Jun 19, 2019 10:48 am

I try to renew Let's Encrypt certificate, and process has failed. I have a www-glue in my .htaccess file:

Code: Select all

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.(.*) [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://%1/$1 [R=301,L]
in "Custom redirects" section. Domain with www passed, but domain without www did not pass the verification.

And here is explained, how to add .well-known folder to .htaccess.

How can I combine 'www-glue' and '.well-known' rules in one .htaccess file? Should it help?

This issue was solved. That wasnt about Joomla, and www-glue, etc. That was about proper virtual hosts ssl Apache 2.4 configuration. After the tuning of apache configs I've got new certs from Let's Encrypt
