Database error - Missing table Topic is solved

[Donethat]

When trying to access any extension management or update functions I get

Missing field in database: Joomla\CMS\Table\Extension   extension_id.

As there isn't an extension with id-160 I have no idea what is missing.

I have posted the FPA which does note that the update functions have been disabled.

Help would be appreciated as I need to update this website to J4 and I can't while this problem exists.

Using the unlimited value -1 and -2M have been known to cause issues. Adjust these and repost the FPA please.

The 160 in your error is not related to ID 160.
  is the HTML entity number for "non-breaking space"

Can you install a J3.10.2 on your local system? And compare the database structure of some of its tables with the database structure of your live site? In particular the #__extensions table.

Your hosting company can help with changing the Session Path Writeable from no to yes - it is a server issue.

Sadly my hosting is on a shared server and Ionos can't make the change, apparently.

I do have a number of Joomla sites on the same shared server, all running similar sets of extensions without this problem.

This website is the only website running Balbooa Gridbox. I'm beginning to think that may be the problem. Because of this issue I can't update, uninstall or disable any of the extensions.

Solution found

I set the PHP back to version 7.4.1 which corrected this error.

That allowed me to access the extension updates. The offender was Balbooa Gridbox as it turns out. Once updated I could then reset the PHP back to 8.1.

Strangely, and a completely different issue, The Joomla update seems to think I have the latest version at 3.10.11 even though it's set to 'Next'.
