What do you have in the root directory that is not in the/joomla4 directory?

I suggest
1. Using Akeeba backup to make a copy of the site (you can omit the /joomla4 directory in Akeeba's settings).
https://www.akeeba.com/compatibility.html
2. Create a new directory and database and install the backup to them.
If the problem exists there (with the original files/database) then the problem is the site not the server.
(you can also copy the backup to wamp localhost)

But a vanilla Joomla works in a directory but your site does not work on the root. So either something on the server is acting differently on the root or something in your site is conflicting with the server settings.
The method I suggested will help discover which.

Did you fix these? If not then you will have problems.gws wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 11:02 am .htaccess/web.config: No (ReWrite Enabled but no .htaccess?) enable .htaccess

Repost the FPA please.

The rest I sent to my host, I don't know if they did anything.
The FPA as written before doesn't work anymore. It redirect to HTTPS and give a 404 error

Under your circumstances I would look for a more competent host.

You can download J3 packages here and extract the relevant .htaccess.

That suggests there was a failed update attempt that @phidias81 never told anyone about. Thus creating a mixture of files from different versions of Joomla?koalajoomla wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 3:24 am Hi, I made a ton of edits based on your feedback and with the older default Joomla files from https://downloads.joomla.org/cms/joomla3 and it now works ~

Wrong. I did try and said it about a month ago, after I was suggested to do so.Webdongle wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 2:42 pmThat suggests there was a failed update attempt that @phidias81 never told anyone about. Plus as already mentioned, the website stopped working right after migration without me doing anything, not even updating
