Menu links disappear when I am on the page I clicked

I don't know if it has always this way or if I am just noticing it, but when I click on a menu link and the page loads, the page that I am on disappears from the menu. Is this a setting somewhere that I can turn off?

Example

The menu on homepage

When I click that link and go to the page the menu link disappears entirely

You need to assign the menu module to all pages
