html removed after saving

Post by lordney » Sun Dec 09, 2012 4:03 am

Hello friends, I am facing a big problem with joomla 3.0. When I go to publish an article with an html code it simply does not appear after save. The same applies to modules.

I am using JCE editor, editors and others have tested consigurei also have the text filter in global settings and still the error continues.

I do not know what else to do, someone could help me?

@ intheair

No Filtering is selected, and I can't work with no editor, I'm not that familiar with coding.

I've looked at the other tread and posted on it. I got a reply about "MagicQuotes". I've contacted my host, they're looking into it

Once your hosting company turns "magic quotes" to off you will be fine, even with an editor.

I sure hoped it will fix the issue, but, Magic quotes is now turned off, and still nothing

The article before save:
<h3 style="text-align: center;"><strong>Johannesburg South District</strong></h3>

The article after clicking save:
<h3><strong>Johannesburg South District</strong></h3>

I don't know anything about coding, so is the coding wrong? All I do is click the "center" button on the editor and then save, and the text is not centered. Any other ideas?

Thanks again for all the trouble

Same issue here. No filtering is set no matter what editor or even none I choose. I even tried installing plugin that claim to allo code not be stripped. I believe the no filtering setting is buggy?

Check your host has "MagicQuotes" off, then disable the html editor and try that.
If that works then it is your editor stripping out html etc.

I know it can be flustrating but you will have to narrow down the cause.

It seems Joomla 3.0 is a bit buggy. I've uninstalled 3.0 and re-installed trustworthy old 2.5. I'll be running my sites on 2.5 until 3.0 has been improved on, as I cannot loose the business. I'll visit this forum from time to time to check on progress.

Good luck to everyone who is having this issue.

try this how to to set no filtering /stripping in 3.+

http://www.cloudaccess.net/joomla-3-0/1 ... 3-0.html#r

The step I missed was there .
Absolutely nothing to do with magic quotes whats so ever. If your using a current server you wouldn't even have that as an issue. Magic Quotes had been removed completely from php in any current version. If you host ist providing current platform move on .

Might not have anything to do with your setup, however it is mainly a magic quotes problem.

Glad you managed to sort it out.

If your issue is magic quote you have much larger issue. Using current joomla/php code you are on the wrong server is the point! Magic Quotes is not in php any more and hasn't been for quite some time. you need to update your hosting

Is the magic quotes, you have to disable it at your local server ou creating a php.ini at your webserver and saving at root and administrator folder with this parameters.

magic_quotes_gpc = Off
magic_quotes_runtime = Off
magic_quotes_sybase = Off
magic_quotes = Off
