Show all logged in users

Postby MBButton » Wed Feb 07, 2018 9:38 pm

One of the most obvious things about Joomla is that the Control panel shows five logged in users. One can also log users out from here.

However, what do I do if I need to show more than five logged in users? Is there a way of getting the full list — and with that list being able to log selected users out if necessary?

Any help will be much appreciated.

You can set how many to show in the module "Logged in Users" in module manager.

Thanks for your reply. Would that affect the control panel, even though it's a setting for a module? Does the module need to be published?

In order to see it, it must be published.

Ok, I've tried that module. Unfortunately its list of logged in users doesn't seem to be very accurate. It also doesn't allow one to log users out.

I think you enabled the module for the Site instead of the one for the Administrator.
In module manager, toggle the filter from Site to Administrator to see the modules for the back-end.

Thanks for your help and patience! Let me make sure I have the right module. I am using "Logged in users" by Carsten Engel. Looking at the module for the back end (i.e. Administrator).

As far as I can see, that only gives me the total number of logged in users, not the list of them.

Perhaps I have the wrong module?

Sorry, the confusion is mine. I see that the module is "Logged-in users" (with a hyphen). Now I have it sorted out!
