Re: canonicals without a plugin
The plugin is part of the joomla core you do not need to add it.

Re: canonicals without a plugin
ok, I thought a plugin always had to be added.
what is it called and where can I find it?
Enter your site Domain in the sef plugin. go to plugins and enter sef in the search to find it.
I went to extensions, manage and did a search for sef as you suggested.
just comes up with plug ins I can buy and upload.

Re: canonicals without a plugin
In your admin / extensions/plugins. When its a joomla core it is in your installation already no need to search the JED.

Re: canonicals without a plugin
When you are in the plugins use the search function and type in sef and click on the magnifying glass icon, it will return "System SEF",click on that and enter your domain name with https:// if your using https or just http:// if not and www. if you are using that.

Re: canonicals without a plugin
It does it automatically. If you are using any of the SEO add ons then this may overwrite the default values of the system plugin. If that is the case consult the developer for whichever add on you are using.

Re: canonicals without a plugin
so this will add canoncials all on its own? how will I know if they're correct? What if I want to change one? Will this correct duplicate content? How long will it take to add the canonicals?
