Smart search not indexing automatically? [resolved]

Hi all,

After enabling the Smart search module on my Joomla3 site, I've now started the indexer manually.

When the initial idexing is finished, will the indexing from then on be automatic, adding new content to the index, or will I manually have to re-index manually?

I can't find any relevant information on this.
FWIW, I've basically done the steps outlined at https://www.template monster.com/help/jo ... earch.html.

Hints and tips appreciated!

Fixed it.

Deleted the index, then followed the guide lines exactly, available on https://docs.joomla.org/Smart_Search_quickstart_guide after first having run the CLI indexing guide at https://docs.joomla.org/Smart_Search_on_large_sites.

Have no idea what went wrong initially, but it now works as expected.
