Joomla 3 ACL ununderstanding

Post by kmchen » Thu Apr 19, 2018 4:31 pm

Hi,
My purpose is to have managers that can log in admin, access a component but can't edit articles, and managers that can edit articles too.
Here is the manager definition I did for that purpose on a joomla 3.6 (don't ask me to upgrade it's a test for a production website that cannot be upgraded now).
So I give the redactors the admin login and article editing rights:

and quit managers editing rights:

Now managers can log and access to components but can't edit articles. OK

But redactors can' log to admin. Why ?

A user affected to the 2 groups can log admin and access components but can't edit articles:

How can I achieve the simple fact of giving articles editing access to managers or not ?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

So that is where joomla support ended. Buy my doc. I hope that Joomla's payant doc is better than the API doc that realy value nothing.
I followed joomla since 1.0 that I appreciated for it's efficiency and simplicity. It slowly became what we know today, heavy, academic and payant. Each new version leads third party developers to a complete re-understanding and whole extensions re-programming.
Why do I still work with that instead of joining the raising wordpress raising wave ?

Thanks. I solved my problem alone, without the help of that dead forum
