Unable to name file in Media Manager

I am running Joomla 3.8.8 and using the latest Google browser. I just updated to this version of Joomla and I went to Media Manager and there is no entry block to put a folder name. It just creates a new folder named new folder.

Is this a bug in the code or a problem on my end?

Does the same thing occur in other browsers (Firefox for instance)?

Could you post a screenshot of what you're seeing, as I see a "Create Folder" (green button), it shows a field to type in the folder name. The result I would assume would be the folder you create.

For me, I could create a folder with the specified name....so can't replicate the issue that you have reported.

I had an issue where I kept getting kicked out to the Admin login (every time I clicked Media Manager) so had to attempt this several times.

It appears that my Joomla installation was corrupted somehow. Since I reinstalled I haven't had the problem although I wish media manager would provide the ability to change file names.
