I am working from my own computer using XAMP and I have been working right along and have had no trouble until now.

The article actually got saved, but the message appeared anyway. I know it got saved because I closed it and reopened it and none of my work was lost.

This happens only when I duplicate an article, modify it and save it.

Any ideas anyone.

Created new article. I would have to recreate the article, because I have deleted it and created a new article rather than create a duplicate form another article and then edit it.

To change folder permissions in windows, right click on the file or folder, go to properties and under security tab make the proper changes, you may take a look at some tutorials before doing that, You may also do it direct from command prompt.

I notice issues with XAMP, so I will switch to WAMP at first opportunity.

If you use Wamp then create a folder in it's /www and unzip the files into /wwwnewfolder. The browser should then be pointed at localhost/newfolder

The php version can be changed 'on the fly' if you use wamp.
