PHP Warning: session_cache_limiter(): Cannot change cache limiter when session is active

Hi, I hope somebody can help. I have latest version of joomla on several sites, I tried activating cache, but when I do, at log out I get an error in frontend "0-Failed to start the session:already started by PHP" and in error log, I find this other error:

PHP Warning: session_cache_limiter(): Cannot change cache limiter when session is active in /home/XXXXX/XXXXX/libraries/joomla/session/handler/native.php on line 235

I found in other posts comments about the php version. We are using php 7.2. No idea if this is related to php version upgrade, as we upgraded recently and we were not using cache before, I tried switching back to php 7.0, but error remains. So I had to disable cache, but I really need to use it.
