Hide menu item/link on some pages

Need to hide all menu items except one, when a particular link is clicked.

Is there a link anywhere explaining this process that is current (as in works and is operational for this process for my version of Joomla?) I've searched but the methods described are at least 3 years old and do not seem to work in this template/Joomla version.

sounds like you could work around this by creating a separate 'menu' to display on the page where only one link should be shown. Then assign that menu module to the page in question. You could also do this with pure CSS but wouldn't be ideal.

The best way would be to create a new menu that is dispalyed on the new page insted of the old one. Just create a menu and add it to the new pages, but don't forget to create a back link in the menu for better client use.
