Possible to give staff access to parts of backend in the administrator area?

Post by gerner » Sun Dec 08, 2019 3:01 pm

Hi,

Is it possible to give staff access to HakaShop backend in the administrator area without the staff has access to the rest of the backend?

I have tried to search for some "rights" settings but was not able to find any.

So the staff should be able to login to the administrator area but only see the HakaShop options - nothing else. Is that possible to give that kind of rights?

Thanks for your reply.

You'd need to setup an access group, and limit access to hikashop. Not easily done with the default ACL, but an extension like PWT - ACL can do this very easily.

The User Group need two permissions.

1) Login Administrator

2) Permission to the HakaShop Component.

1. Create anewusergroup with registered as Parent.
2. Users >>> view/access level >>> Special ... select anewusergroup
3. Global config >>> Permissions >>> anewusergroup ... set Login Admin Allowed (leave everything else inherited)
4. Administrator >>> HakaShop ... Options ... Permissions ... Allow Edit (etc.) for anewusergroup.

N.B. step #2 allows the group to see Admin menu items it has the Permissions to use.

Some good ACL tutorials for Joomla Role based ACL https://www.slideshare.net/careytech/ro ... d-acl-2013
