Cloak e-mail without linking?

Is it possible to still use e-mail cloaking without generating a mailto link? We’re using an e-mail address as a PayID so this is part of bank transfer information which people will want to select, copy and paste. Having a link isn’t helpful in this context.

The Content - Email Cloaking plugin has an option "Mode".
What happens when you set that to "Non-linkable Text" ?
