Frontend edit category description text

I have a few sites where I'll add text to the category description, with that category being used by an Article - Category Blog menu item. I will generally do all edits to client websites, but this particular client wanted to be a little more hands on, and, by-and-large, does a reasonable job of doing some of their own editing.

They asked the question this week, "How do we edit "this" text...?" "This" text being the text in the category description. Is it possible to edit this from the frontend? I don't see a way how to.

No...I don't think you can from core Joomla. It was always intended that it would be an administrative function which is logical.
