hi GWS, thank to have took a look, its because we use cache and cdn, but if you deep surf on the website going link to another link you will notice time wait up 12 sec or more, i have ordered another test server in swiss to deploy the akeeba backup and have a test run, the webpagespeed test is clear, 18 sec TTFB randomly, but without jquery and extrawatch that patch 30% of the faced issue.

But I have re-enabled the slide show in homepage, voting and social media on article page, and we still face the issue....

https://www.webpagetest.org/result/2008 ... 318328a7e/

Dont know if that software/Joomla related or hardware issue @ the host,

I think we will be fixed in 1 or 2 day.

Currently downloading backup,

I think if it was joomla related other users would have reported issues.... You stated "Hi guys, i just migrated of clouds as i was wondering a hardware issue," I think this is most likely.

@Folamour
Where are you getting the statistics that support your theory?

From my experience in the forums most of the sites that (I've seen here) have the amount of 3rd party extensions all have time and conflict issues.

Hi Webdongle, witch theory ? i guess that 17k article can be an issue to TTFB, there is no 'theory' or statistic about that, but i've faced so many of issue in 10 years so.... its a possiblity, we will be fixed in 1 or 2 day.

hi Webdongle thanks, i've put a request for a dev joomla, i'm ready to offer 100€ (i cannot more), we earn nothing with our website

And i dont make a statement i emit an hypothesis...

Thanks gws, the issue occur randomly, and i guess that the cache is populated, so it must be very fast.

Jquery and Boostrap are also disabled, so its a nice thing. ; ))))

I've desactived jot cache so you will have more chance to saw the issue :

Check :

https://www.webpagetest.org/result/2008 ... 40203ae7e/

Take a look how react the server without Jotcache

https://www.webpagetest.org/result/2008 ... 250b91ab3/

Notice the TTFB at the top of the graph ?

its the same request who is hide by jot cache, but who appear time to time and lag the server

the site is calling himself,

we have 301 on the way with route66 but here its not the case,

don't know if that a normal behaviour, my friend dev did not reply.

update : i'll checked the joomla site of a member of this thread ; )

https://www.webpagetest.org/result/2008 ... view_step1

And there is the same request at the top the site is calling himself, so i'll think its a normal behaviour, but in this case this took 424ms......... Rock stable 3x4 test same speed.

thanks,

f.

Hi folks, just to let you know, a service provider free of charge (cool man) confirm me yesterday that the issue is mostly hardware, so we have tested the new server this morning, and the issue as gone, so, yes Webdongle 17k article is not a problem for Joomla in term of performance :D :

How did you disable the plg etc?

Did you use Dgrammatiko optimiser https://dgrammatiko.online/blog/fight-the-bloatwares/

Its not just plugins. Its components, modules and plugins you dont use. Do you use banners? No ok then you have the option to remove it.. did you read the info there? Do you need the module sample data? no then remove it.

Its up to you...

I saw you already moved to another host..

there is still some TTFB but not to horrid.
From NL all pages seem to load well. TTFB is highest mark but pages load under 2 seconds.
On a 500Mbps connection.
Timed on September 4th, between 9:00 and 9:30 CEST

BUT continue to make changes

1. You do have a lot of third party extensions that mark enabled/disabled unknown (?) check these.
2. You may have a lot of extensions that may call external resources. When not available in time, the PHP render of your site will stall. Check your server's outgoing traffic.
3. You may need to check the max connections to your mySQL database as well as max clients in your webserver (apache/nginx)
4. The nature of articles on your site is a trigger for hackers to target and attack your site. Check your servers logs for that. Attacks may slow down your site. You will see where the domain is yours, the TTFB is larger than on the other domain sources. So when under attack your pages become slow, the rest will do ok.
5. Do not use optimization tools.. aggregating your scripts is probably preventing visitors to browser cache stuff properly. Optimize your images before uploading them.
6. check the browser F12 tab "console" for warnings and errors. There are lots of them.
7. Your template is created around old standards. scripts and stylesheets are embedded the old way (without the MD5 version hash). Make sure it is up to date.
8. some scripts are called twice, from your domain as well as your cdn, though they are not in the page source. Check your plugins
9. Do check if your cdn is configured properly as there is some queuing on images.
10. (hydro)chloroquine will not save you.

Any situation is different and has no 1 fix solution that fits all situations. So there are no spot-on-answers to issues on your server and site. However, the above will help you find solutions and improvements.

Good advice.

I think you should remove a lot of these 3pds plugins and instead get some that improve the speed if thats your concern.

Do WebP images https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/dj-webp/

Server cache LIteSpeed or for NGINX and VARNISH example https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/server-cache/

Javascript Async & Defer https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... and-defer/

Jotcache https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/jotcache/

Litespeed cache https://github.com/litespeedtech/lscache-joomla

These working well I tested them on latest Joomla

Just install the plg make easy settings and you have WebPs created "on the fly". You can also delete all created WebP images by a "delete" url by the plugin.

"WebP is an image file format which contains image data with both lossless and lossy compression. Developed by Google, WebP basically is a derivative WebM video format. The format is capable of reducing image file size up to 34% smaller than JPEG and PNG images while retaining high-quality."

if you do start using webp make sure your cdn can workout the on the fly images and functionality

purging images from your server is not the same as purging from cdn....

Ok. If you have Litespeed that is the best for Joomla and hosting performance you can test this 1.3.2 version plg/comp latest attached. Pls let us know if that helped too :pop

Have you checked that OPcache is enabled in PHP?

Otherwise the php code have to be compiled at each request.

Hi darb thanks for lite speed, i saw a little improvment but not so much, the host also tell me that Op Cache is installed,

So far i've been able to get very good result for the homepage with 2.3 sec page load and 2.4 LCP Google Page Speed, (this page has 3 preview of article and a slideshow)

https://www.crashdebug.fr

But i still have issue for the 'stand alone' article page, who is minimal, and load in 2.12 sec, but Google said the LCP is 2.9 sec, so i cannot reach the 'essential web signal' who need to be below 2.5 sec,

Example :

https://www.crashdebug.fr/que-devient-y ... la-tribune

So i dont understood the article page as no slide show, minimal picture and so on, but i've extravote plugin and facebook share, (but i've disabled it to test and they are not at the origin of the issue)

why this article page is so slow ?, it's awesome compared to homepage who is really heavy loaded.

Any clue ?
