Mootools in frontend

Post by markuz » Fri Nov 30, 2012 3:41 pm

Hello,

Joomla! 3.0 is born, which I really appreciate: this is a great leap forward in multi-device-compatibility. The frontend still loads Mootools still very much with com_content, com_contact and other native components. Also jQuery is loaded and is considered the standard from now on. I'm hesitating to go live with a cms that loads both framworks, since I think this is a performance/traffic killer.

Are there any activities to eliminate Mootools from the core components and module frontend views?

Kind regards,
Mark

Hi Mark,

There's Mootools Enabler/Disabler:

http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... ools/22236

It's free.

Neil.
