Pagespeed: How I went from a 78-97 removing unused css

Post by rgcseo » Fri Jun 01, 2018 2:20 am

My website

Code: Select all

http://www.rgcadvertising.com.au
has 45 -50 page speed on desktop. We have improved page speed by migrating to the faster web server. I also have asked developer to compress or remove css but they said they have already done but I don't see any improvements in speed.

Can any one please check my site and let me know how I can improve site speed?

With Google Chrome's "Inspect" function, I see that you are using a lot of external scripts (Google, hotjar etc).
And some scripts display an API key error.

Have you tried analyzing your website with YSlow or GTMetrix.com?
Those will show:
This page has 54 external Javascript scripts. Try combining them into one.
This page has 25 external stylesheets. Try combining them into one.

I'd recommend to reduce the amount of external JavaScripts, combine the CSS into one.

Check out what it says on PageSpeed Insights. It's pretty bad. I'm visiting the site from UK. It takes about 30 seconds to load
