Fatal error: updating from 3.6.5 > 3.7.5

Postby psvialli1 » Thu Sep 14, 2017 10:31 am

Hi I am trying to update Joomla to the latest v but I am getting the following error:-

"Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 11512165 bytes) in /home/quantumi/public_html/libraries/joomla/http/transport/curl.php on line 266"

I have a few other sites i run on the host and they all updates no issue so am confused why this site will not update ?

Any suggestions ?

3.6.5 > 3.7.5

Many thanks

I believe that you just exceeded your memory_limit defined by your php.ini.
Usually on shared servers you don't have access to it, so you should contact your host.
Or if you have access you have to edit memory_limit line to something like this:
ini_set('memory_limit', '512M'); //increase size as you need
There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers...
