Welcome to the Joomla forum!

It is not clear why you decided to restore. Please explain the reason and how the site was restored.

The link to a support forum of a web host does not help us understand what happened. Which error message does the site report?

The error message you're encountering could be due to various reasons. Here are some common reasons for such issues and some possible solutions:
  • Incorrect Database Configuration: Verify that your database configuration in the Joomla configuration file is correct. This includes the database hostname, username, password, and database name.
  • Incorrect Table Prefix: If the table prefix specified in the Joomla configuration file doesn't match the prefix used in your database, you'll get this error message. You can modify the prefix in the Joomla configuration file to match the one used in the database.
  • Missing Tables in the Database: Ensure that all the tables in your database backup have been restored properly.
  • Corrupted Database: The database could be corrupted, try restoring a fresh copy of the database.
  • Server Error: There could be an issue with the server, check with your hosting provider to ensure that the server is functioning properly.
  • PHP Version: Joomla requires a minimum PHP version to function properly. Ensure that the version of PHP installed on your server meets the requirements of your Joomla version.
  • File Permissions: Ensure that the files and directories have the correct permissions set. Joomla requires specific permissions for certain files and directories.
If none of the above solutions work, you can try reinstalling Joomla from scratch
