Update to Joomla 3.10.12 removes Joomla Update on the components menu

I have been preparing my websites for migration to Joomla 4. So on updating the first website from Joomla 3.6.8 to 3.10.12, I have observed that after the update, the "Joomla Update" item on the Components Menu no longer appears.

I have read posts about possible solutions to rectify this but I have been unsuccessful.

Has anyone experienced this as well ?

How do I make sure that the update to 3.10.12 is smooth without creating such a problem.?

Sometimes if your server is not compatible with J4 minimum requirements the j4 update doesn't show.

However, the server has PHP 7.3 to PHP 8.2. I also created another website using Joomla 3.10.12 and upgraded to Joomla 4 with no problems, on the same server environment

With this one which is on Joomla 3.6.8, I am completely lost.

Check the data base version.

Thanks very much for your help. I have now managed to migrate the website to Joomla 4. My mistake was that I had not configured Joomla Updates to the next version of Joomla just before migration.
