I want 1 place for ALL archived articles from my whole site from any and all categories. I don't want a category blog for each category.

And when you read more carefully, that is what you will have!
Issue with migrating? Include logs/joomla_update.php in your report!

I am reading everything you are saying but nothing is making sense to me. It seems like what you are saying is going back an forth.

First you say:
If so, the category Archived Articles is improperly named!
But then you say I shouldn't even have an Archived articles category:
There shouldn't be a Archived Articles category.
So, should I have a category named "Archived Articles" or not?

You say I need the Archived Articles menu item:
That is why you have the Archived Articles menu item.
Then you say to use the Category Blog menu item:
Which brings you back to my advice to create a Category Blog
So, which one do I use to display ALL archived articles in 1 single place from all categories?

Which brings you back to my advice to create a Category Blog for Archived Articles and moving the article to Archived Articles.
and moving the article to Archived Articles.
Moving the article STATUS to Archived, right? Because you said there should be no category named Archived Articles.
I have a Category Blog menu item set up. If I am not supposed to have an Archived Articles category...then what category to I choose?

It is evident you don't understand. Everything I said is within the context of the information you provide. Obviously, the advice changes based on the information you provide.

As mentioned you need to properly organize your content. So, we are now back to my original advice, to create a context for your archived articles. That means creating the Category Blog for the category Archived Articles. Making sure the modules are not connected to it.

How can you say "That means creating the Category Blog for the category Archived Articles."?
You said I shouldn't even have a category with that name!

That makes no sense. Which is it? Should I have a category with that name or not?
Is the attached image correct? Because on the frontend it says there are no articles in the category, but there ARE articles in there.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

How many times do I need to say that your requirement to have a different context for archived articles and published News articles makes you require the category Archived Articles.

Never told you to make the menu item available to the visitor! Only told you to create the context!
The image looks ok, despite that I would not put it on a menu visible on the site. The fact it reports that there are no articles is correct. Its only use is to provide context for archived articles! Again make sure there are no unwanted modules connected to it.

But you said I shouldn't have the category Archived Articles. How many times do I have to ask about that?
So I DO need it then?

And you never told me not to make the item visible to the visitor. I want my archived articles to be visible so that is why I set it to published.

I have unpublished it, but nothing is working still.

Already answered that! I told you that the category wasn't desired, only then you told me about the requirement of having different context (not wanting the modules show for News articles).

Your archived articles are visible through the Archived Articles menu item. There is no need/use of a visible Category Blog for Archived Articles. As you discovered yourself, it doesn't show any articles. For the third time and last time: its only purpose is to provide context for archived articles.
Obviously, that menu needs to be published, which has nothing to do with being visible.

Okay, you are no help at all. I bet you would be terrible at a game of catch phrase.

You keep repeating the same things over and over (and contradicting yourself) and expect me to figure out what you are talking about. I asked for you to try explaining a different way, but that seems impossible for you.

It makes matters worse that you are "yelling" and being condescending. That helps no one. I am here for help. If I knew what to do I wouldn't be here.

So, you have a GREAT day. Hopefully I can figure things out myself or someone with more patience will be able to assist me.

You can archive articles effortlessly in Article Manager. (To open Article Manager, tap the Article Manager symbol in the Administration control board or pick Content→Article Manager.)

It's not that I am having trouble changing the status to archived...the content of the article does not appear on the frontend when I click the linked title for the particular archived article.

I am not exactly sure what that is trying to explain, but that is exactly what is already within my router.php file. There is nothing to change.

The lines with the pink background are to be removed. That code is stopping the show of the article.
