Updating from 3.8.8 to 3.8.10 just hangs

Hello. I have been working on resolving this issue for the past couple of days. Reading the posts and checking my server side settings but I must still be missing something. When I try to update from 3.8.8 to 3.8.10 the backup runs pre deployment then the page just hangs. I tried the update wizard as well as direct uploading with the same results. My FPA follows. Why does the $live_site variable in the file configuration.php have a value? Usually it is left blank.

Your PHP configuration requires the zip extension. That is probably why the update stalls.

Toivo is right, what is the admin template you are using? Also note that I do live in Indonesia and you block access to your site which is useless since I could simply use my VPN

I don't know if it's significant but "max_execution_time" shows as set to "0". I don't know if "0" in this context means "no time" or "forever/unlimited" time.

Also this seems to be a mixture of 2.5 and 3.0 - What's Bluestork doing there? (That's the 2.5.x admin template...)

My understanding of the context for "max_execution_time" set for 0 means unlimited. I set it to that to see if it would help my scenario, which it does not. And yes, my site has been around for some time as was migrated from 2.5 to 3. I removed Bluestork and reran the upgrade but still the same result. Akeeba backup runs then it says that it is redirecting to the next step then timesout. I also tried the direct upload method but get the same result.

Does the upgrade script log the sequence? Can I see what is causing the timeout?

If the problem is with Akeeba, disable the plugin that do the backup before upgrading.

I was hoping for a different log.... joomlaupdate.php only shows me the following info.

And I confirmed that the update file was posted to the tmp folder so it doesn't seem to be a download problem. It still gets hung them times out.

Ok, don't ask me how or why, but my site just updated so I guess that you can mark this topic resolved. One of lifes mysteries.
