upgrading on webhostingpad problems

I have never been able to upgrade Joomla on webhostingpad cPanel. I've tried but my website doesn't work after I upgrade and I have to roll it back. Why is that? Is there anyway to get it to work? I do not host my own site and so I have to upgrade using webhostingpad's upgrade process. Do I need to contact them on this or is this something Joomla can help me with.

Thanks,
Vicki

You need to ask your host.

Why? Did your host tell you that?

The recommended update method is in the back end menu, Components - Joomla! Update, where you have two options, Live Update and Upload & Update.

Why don't you use the Joomla update component in the extension manager?

I did try upgrading using webhostingpad extension manager. Every time I've tried to upgrade, my website won't work and I have to roll back the upgrade. I will contact webhostingpad again. It's been a while since I've tried to get help from them and I don't remember what happened but I guess it's worth a try. I just thought maybe someone on the forum would have some insight on what the problem could be since it's such a hassle when it doesn't work.
Thanks,
Vicki

I searched Google for the term "webhostingpad extension manager". Google does not know about this. I do not know about this, either.

Every time I've tried to upgrade [using webhostingpad extension manager], my website won't work and I have to roll back the upgrade.
Then I think this tells you something. You cannot update Joomla using "webhostingpad extension manager" so please don't try to use this thing.

What makes you think this is a problem that webhostingpad can fix?

Why don't you use the Joomla! Update component?

@Vicky, if you ask questions and you get answers please respond to those answers? Second time from me and a 4th time in this thread and you have not answered a single time:
Why don't you use the Joomla update component in the extension manager?

now looking at it , you probably used softaculous to install joomla. they updated their instal script Release Date : 11-06-2019
your 1click installer is NOT the way to go, nor is a company that still recommends using joomlaexplorer (the predecessor to extplorer) an on the ball company.,
