Multilang + JSON export

Post by daxicek » Tue Apr 07, 2020 8:11 pm

Hello Joomla fans.

We are fighting with site where we have 20+ languages and its really pain in the ass as it´s pretty hard to talk with all native speakers and explain them where they need to change all texts. We tried many extensions but what we are searching for is something what we can simply export to json format, let translators do their jobs and import those jsons back to Joomla.

Does this solution exist or it´s pure sci-fi :)

Many thanks!

Hi there,

Welcome to the Forum. Maybe you need an enterprise dedicated solution, try crowdin, motionpoint, onesky, localize or transifex or similar. The default language overrides works fine but I understand the complexity of managing more than 20 languages.

Thanks, but in am searching for more sophisticated solution as simple JSON is a king, we can do anything with that. In those cloud solution I can´t probably extract all phrases automatically into their systems. I probably need to write every sentence step by step and translators will then make their jobs which means double work.

Falang isn´t good for too much languages. Let´s try GTranslate for now. Looks like the best solution for now. Many thanks!

We also have some extensions like this one:
https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... translate/

Or this one:
https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... late-json/

Or via XML with an extension like this one:
https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... nt/falang/
