Database structure for translated articles

Post by kostisalex » Mon Jun 29, 2020 3:10 pm

Hello everybody. I have two articles: the first one (lang=en) is the translation of the second one (lang=fr).
Concerning the database, where is kept this relationship between the two asset_ids?
Can I find easily using SQL, the relationship between original and translated articles?

Thank you in advance

The relationship (ie the association) between articles are stored in the table xyz_associations (where xyz_ is the table/database prefix of the Joomla installation. The column key holds the value for the associated items. If two articles are associated, the key value of these two articles would be the same.

This table also contains the column id which is the id of the article. Of course, you have to look at the context of the id as well.

If we are talking about articles, then the table xyz_content has both the columns id and asset_id.

Hope this information helps.
