Language pack does not match this Joomla version (3.9.27) Topic is solved

Dear Community,

I have downloaded via Joomla (3.9.27) - Languages the Hungarian language pack, latest version as per see. This is one of the languages that I have for my site. However, I see that the Hungarian language pack is only present under the installed languages, and with a note that it does not match my Joomla version. See the pic:

Under "Installed" the Hungarian language pack is yellow colour and states that " Language pack does not match this Joomla version" , which is the lastest one: 3.9.27, and up to date version. The Hungarian language pack is not present under "Content languages". So I cannot start to build my site as per HU language which makes me quite desprate to make my site as multiple language asap . Everything is up to date in my Joomla admin.

I would very much appreciate if you could point out my mistake (if any), and how to make this language work ?

There is no need to contact me directly. Everything you need to know and do is on the link I posted

The fact that the pack version is different from the joomla version is not an issue in your case, as it would only means some lang strings may be missing or need update.

I suggest you uninstall the Hungarian pack and then re-install it using the Installation languages Ui.

Then check if the Content Language is present. It should be created automatically! Check also in trash if necessary.

@ Brian: no, it does not work... that list is only a process in the event when languages are compatible, for me this is sadly not a complete picture.

The language pack IS compatible it just might be missing a few strings

Dear All,
It worked. At first I've disabled my VPN, then I uninstalled the HU language and then reinstalled it, and it appears under the installed as well as under the content languages.
