How Do I Get Rid Of Trailing Slashes Behind Language Codes?

Hello,

all the trailing slashes ("/") at the end of my URLs are hidden. But the default pages (home) of every language still show the trailing slashes after the language code, e.g. "en" for the English default page.

How can I get rid of that? (I want this, so I have a consistent URL presentation on all pages, so you could say for aesthetical reasons.)

Interestingly, when I delete the trailing slash in the URL in the browser and reload the page like this the page is shown too, just without the trailing slashes.
