Access inner sites by qr-code with redirection to the correct language

Post by _mai_ » Wed Oct 11, 2017 8:14 am

Hello everybody,

I am trying to build a multilingual site with two languages. (English and Russian, Joomla 3.8.0)
I want to access the site with it inner sites by QR-codes.
The language redirection works only when I scan the QR-code of the homepage/landing page and
not when I scan a QR-Code of an inner side.

Is there a way to make it work on all the inner sides as well?

Thanks already

Kind regards,
mai

Using one of the JED extensions, https://extensions.joomla.org/extension ... e-qr-code/, I installed it on a test site. It created QR-codes on each page.
api.qrserver.com.png
Then I copied the image and uploaded it here
https://zxing.org/w/decode.jspx

I got the correct url I was looking for:

Tested on my smartphone and it worked fine (i.e. it tried to load the correct url, but could not because it is localhost)

Reason: Per the Forum Rules, changed the URL of the extension from the developer's URL to the JED URL

Thanks,

but this was actually not what I am looking for.

I want to attach the QR Codes to some objects in a museum.
And I dont want to have two QR-Codes for every object to display the correct language.
It should just detect the browser language.

And its working on the landing page: http://localhost/joomla/index.php/

And I am wondering if it could work on the inner sites as well, like:
I open this page http://localhost/joomla/index.php/test1 by scanning one QR-Code
and when the browser language is English it doesnt change, but
when the browser language is Russian it redirects to http://localhost/joomla/index.php/ru/test1

Thanks again

BY searching Google
https://www.google.fr/search?q=multilin ... sRezciUyAc

I found this for wikipedia.
https://www.labnol.org/internet/qr-code ... ite/20171/
or
https://www.allinallnews.com/gadgets/qr-code

See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QRpedia
The QRpedia server then uses Wikipedia's API[1] to determine whether there is a version of the specified Wikipedia article in the language used by the device, and if so, returns it in a mobile-friendly format.[4] If there is no version of the article available in the preferred language, then the QRpedia server offers a choice of the available languages, or a Google translation.

In this way, one QRcode can deliver the same article in many languages,[4] even when the museum is unable to make its own translations. QRpedia also records usage statistics.
Therefore I am not sure it would redirect to your /ru/ pages
