Multi-lang for Main Forum of Kunena

In Module Manager, edit the default kunena menu module.
Rename it to kunena-english
Change its language to English.
Assign it to the kunenamenu_en menu items (and mainmenu alias, see below).
Assign it to a position available in your template. Default position "kunena_menu" will display that menu on top of the forum.

Duplicate the module for the French language.
Rename it to kunena-french
Choose kunenamenu_fr as menu displayed
Change its language to French

Create in each of your mainmenus (mainmenu-en, mainmenu-fr) --or Top menus or wherever you like-- an Alias Menu Item tagged to the same language as your mainmenu (do not fill the alias) linking to the main kunenamenu-xx menu item "Forum" (same language).

Make sure the kunenamenu-xx modules are also assigned to these Alias menu items (same language).
Hi infograf768,

Thanks a lot for your reply (tutorial). It is a very informative one. It has helped me a lot.
Now I am at the module level of your tuto, but i don't see any kunena menu module. Where is it located at?

I am using the latest Kunena (3.0.6) with Joomla 3.3.6.

Thanks

Greetings,

I’m currently building a website with Joomla(3.6.5) and Kunena(4.0.12). I tried to implement this multilanguage menu procedure but I think I might have broke something. Now my Kunena top menu doesn’t show at all:

http ://parlemoide .ca/le-club/forum

Also, see these screenshots of backend settings:

http ://parlemoide .ca/ index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=176

When I went to Modules to find the kunena menu module, it seemed like it just wasn’t there(that’s what threw me off). So I created 2 menu modules and assigned then to kunena_menu

I've been fiddling around with this for 2 days. I did the whole site multilingual fr-FR and en-US so I have a good understanding of how it works but in this case I need someone's help. I don't see what I'm doing wrong. Would be greatly appreciated of someone could take a peak and let me know ballpark where I went wrong.

Thanks a lot guys!!

S0meagent or anyone for that mater, have you found the joomla menu module and if so, where is it or how is it activated? I am completely lost. I have been following infograf768's instructions (above) and when I get to the module part, I just can't seem to find it.
