Multiple Language doesn't work after Joomla Update to Version 3.8.8

Hi there

I updated Joomla to version 3.8.8 and the languages extensions, now the multiple language is not working correctly.
The menu associations are ignored.

All pages are now redirected to the home of each language instead to each associated page.
All was working fine before update...

Clearing cache did not work.

from which J version have you updated?

As you may guess, it's rather hard to help without any access to the bcakend of the site as super user.

I updated Joomla and the language which appeared under "maintenance" to be updated:

I updated Joomla from 3.8.7 to 3.8.8
and
Spanisch Language from version 3.8.7.1 to version 3.8.8.1

Hmm. I have seen quite a few errors on your site. For example assigning the wrong template to menu items.
You should correct this.

I disabled The language switcher caching and this solves most issues.
