Bad multilangual redirection
Hello,
I just create a new category : "news".
Made a menu to this category.
Created some article.
Associate menu / category / article to the frechn part of this category : "actualités"
When I clic on the flag on my article "test article1 EN", its leads me on "test article FR 2".
The flag seams to lead me on the good language, but on the latest article viewed in the language...
Could you please help me ?

Re: Bad multilangual redirection
Not sure I fully understand.
To which language is tagged this new category called News?
Do you have another category called Actualités? To which language is it tagged? What is its place in the Categories hierarchy?
Have you created articles in each of these categories? To which language are they tagged?
Which EXACT menu items have you created? Tagged to which languages?
Which items are associated (menu items, categories, articles)?
Give details with real names.
If your menu items are of the type category and are associated, just check the parameters for the order of articles displayed and make sure they are the same.

Re: Bad multilangual redirection
Hello infograf768,
Thank you for your answer.
I have to assume that it is not easy to explain :-)
I Have two menus :
- Actualités (Fr)
- News (En)
associated
Two Categories :
- Actualités (Fr)
- News (En)
Two articles (belonging to aboves categories) :
Mon actu1 (Fr)
Mon actu2 (Fr)
My news1 (En)
My news2 (En)
All associated to each others
When I clic on :
Mon actu1 (Fr) and clic on En flag >> it leads to My news1 (En) (good so far)
When I clic on : Mon actu2 (Fr) and clic on En flag it leads to My news1 (En) (bad article !!).
Thank you again for your help...

Re: Bad multilangual redirection
Are the Categories associated?
What type of menu items are
- Actualités (Fr)
- News (En)
Do they have the same parameters?
Which version of Joomla?
I do not have this issue here when using a blog menu item

Re: Bad multilangual redirection
Yes, Categories are associated
Menu is Blog type for both fr / en.
Yes, they have the same parameters
Joomla version is 3.8.8
It drives me crasy because I can't see any reason of this issue !!

Can't help more without looking at your site as super user.
Maybe it is related to a cache or a redirect, etc.

Hello Infograph 768,
Well, its crasy, I read again your post and cancelled cache option (on System parameters / cache parameters : disable cache)... And it works !!
Do you know what I should do nown, because when I put cache on again it breaks...
The strange thing is that it was working for all other article on the site (other categories...).
Thank you anyway for your help.

Make sure that the Language switcher module is set to not use cache.
