Home flag in content languages is set to NO and cannot be set back to YES Topic is solved

Hello,

I am trying to build a multilingual site with Joomla 3.9. Due to unknown reason, one of the "Home" flag in content languages is set to "NO" and I can't set it back to "YES". And the result is, it can't be seen or be selected in the homepage. But as I added it into system, it was all "YES" in this column and it worked.

Is there any way to set it back to "NO" (except changing it directly in database) or anyone knows what causes this problem? Thanks for any helps!

This is because there is no Default [Home] Page for the language zh-CN (Chinese - Simplified).

Just like for the German and English languages, please define a Default Page for the language zh-CN.

Have you created
one menu item for the language zh-CN (a menu item that has language "zh-CN" assigned) and
assigned that menu item as default homepage for that language?

Hi guys, thanks for the tipps. Yes that was the reason. Sorry I cannot remember when I unset the homepage in Chinese. Now it works again. Solved!

I am just wondering how to resolve this. I already have default pages for spanish and english but the "spanish" flag does not appear in the frontend for switching language and like the original post I cannot change from NO to YES.
Any help?

Have you checked the back-end module "Multilingual Status"?

In back-end > Extensions > Modules > select the [Administrator] Modules and enable the Multilingual Status module. In the left bottom of your back-end, you'll have a new option to check the "Multilingual Status".

What does it say at your site?

I finally resolve it but there is still a few things to fix.
The language switcher appears, I can change to English or Spanish

But once I click a menu in English, the content appears but the menu disappears

Do you have one menu per language?
Have you created a Menu Module for each menu / language, and assigned the "language" in the Module to the language where it should be displayed?

I created Menu Module for each language, Principal Menu (es) for Spanish and Principal Menu (en) for English. Another Principal Menu (main) as default. Since our site is supposed to be by default in Spanish, should I create the same set of menu that Principal Menu (es) has for the Principal Menu (main)?
The English version is so far functioning well. When I click an item within the sub-menu of "News", its content appears with all the menu and the language switcher.

The Spanish version, when I click the sub-menu for "Noticias", all menu appears with the language switcher

But if I click one of the items in the sub-menu, it either appears like this (the language switcher disappears)

or like this (the menus and language switcher disappears and only the Principal Menu (main) appears)

No, one menu per language is enough.

Just make sure that

And that all your articles are assigned to English or to Spanish.

Also check if the Language Switchter module is assigned to "All" languages,

Well, I duplicated the menu items of Principal Menu (es) to Principal Menu (main) and somehow it worked. The language switcher and all the menus continue to appear.

But when I clicked an article in the sub-menu of "Noticias", the menu now appears but the language switcher disappears.

I checked the language switcher module and it is assigned to "All" languages as well as the menu assignment.
What should I check next?

Thanks for offering to check it. The thing is I am actually trying to re-design an existing website thus it has so many menu and sub-menu that are no longer used or is connected with another menu, it is a bit chaotic actually. We want to preserve the articles that have been created thus we are doing it this way.
I created menus for Spanish, English and Main Menu and copied the menu items from the existing and published menu items. Then, I used another template with the menus I created.

In the Spanish version, what I noticed is when I click the menu "Noticias", then its sub-menu "Ecosistema...", the URL is

But when I click the article under the sub-menu, this happens

In the English version, clicking "News", then its sub-menu "Digital...", the URL is
