How to have 2 languages in joomla?

Post by tigger » Tue Aug 03, 2021 1:52 pm

Hello,

Can anyone please help trying to make sense of how Joomla handles multiple languages?

I get the error:

Error Save failed with the following error: A content language already exists with this Language Tag.

When trying to add en-GB to the content languages.

But:

This doesn't make sense to me.

I'm around this for 8 hours and it is getting me CRAZY!!

I've read all the historical tutorials on the web, but nothing.

By default the Content Language for English (en-GB) is already created by default when Joomla is installed. So, the chances are someone would have deleted it. Most likely it would be in the state of Trashed.

In the screen "Languages: Content", click on the button "Filter Options", choose the value "Trashed" in the dropdown that shows "- Select State -". The content languages in the state Trashed would be shown. Publish the trashed content language.
