Russian Content Language not publishing nor deleting Topic is solved

Hello,
I have been browsing the internet with whole bunch of options but now stuck and tired that is why asking here. Please help
I am trying to publish russian content language but unable to do it. it says no languages selected. I have also tried with uninstalling language pack. but it stays there with the cross sign (unpublished). means the language pack is uninstalled but still it is there. and one thing more.
when i try to edit this content language. every field is blank and if i try to rewrite and save . it says that already there is language with this language code.

What version of Joomla is being used for the site?

What version of the Russian language pack is being used?

Whether Joomla and the Russian language packs are downloaded from the official Joomla site?

The latest available version of Russian language pack for Joomla! 3 is 3.10.7.1.

I have tested the Russian language pack v3.10.7.1 in a Joomla! v3.10.8 site and everything works fine.

The testing consisted of installing the language pack in both the ways (ie as a language from the screen "Extensions: Install Languages" and as an extension from the screen "Extensions: Install") and uninstalling both the language pack & the Content Language. The outcome of the tests are as designed.

As Webdongle mentioned, more information is needed to assess the situation and offer help.

Following are the details:
1- Joomla Version: Joomla! 3.10.8 Stable
2- Russian Version: 3.10.7.1 (downloaded from joomla site)

While uninstalling. I can uninstall language pack but not the content language. It gives error of no language selected however i select it.

When a language pack is Uninstalled, the corresponding Content Language is not removed.

When a language pack is installed, corresponding Content Language is created if it does not exist. Further, the Content Language created, when a language pack is installed, would be in an Unpublished status.

Removing a Content Language is a two-step process:

1. To remove a Content Language, go to the screen "Languages: Content" (Extensions => Languages -> Content Languages), select the Content language and press the button "Trash". Now the Content Language would be in the status Trashed.
2. Now Click on the button "Search Tools", select "Trashed" in the dropdown "- Select Status -", select the Content Language that is to be removed, and click on the button "Empty Trash".

Thanks for sharing the screenshot. What I observe that is more peculiar is that the ID of the Russian (ru-RU) is 0 (zero). So, there is some problem in the database entry and how the ID got the value zero is a mystry.

What I would suggest is to back-up your site (both files and the database content) and try the following:

Using the database tool/utility such as phpMyAdmin, delete the row of the Russian language that has the ID as 0 from the table xyz_languages (where xyz_ is the database prefix of your Joomla installation.

Glad to know that the solution worked. However, it begs the question how the ID of the Content language was zero.

Is it possible for your install the Russian language pack again and check what ID is created for the Content Language Russian?

Also, it would be worthwhile checking with a all together a different language pack (e.g., German or French) and check what happens.

Probably the test could be done in a test environment created from the back-up of the live site.

I tried installing Russian Language again after uninstalling its language pack too. and the ID now given is 6.

Glad to know that the ID is not zero for the newly created Content Language. Hope you could remove the unwanted Content Language from the Joomla back-end itself as explained earlier.
