Multiple GA tracking code.

Post by Vitali D » Thu Dec 06, 2018 3:03 pm

Hello.

My question is - can multiple GA tracking codes slow down pagespeed loading.
And if it is. How much it affected pagespeed.

As example, https://www.intexsoft.com/ has 2 GA tracking code, plus one yandex metrika, and closed to comment GTM code.

Google pagespeed insights show 80/100 for desktop, and 45/100 for mobile.

The biggest issue of multiple GA codes is that your Google Analytics data can be incorrect - it can record more/less sessions than there actually are, and affect bounce rate just to name two problems. In most cases there is no need to have multiple GA codes - I'd recommend only having one. Page speed wouldn't be affected too much as it's really only loading a tiny bit of extra script, it's more the incorrect data that I would be worried about. Hope that helps :)

Thanks, Bdizz you are really helping.
No way to get multiple tracking on the same site without data incorrection?
